On the morning of July 2, 2017, Rocky Creek Presbyterian Church was destroyed by fire.

Lighting had struck our cherished church during the early hours of the morning.

Many of our community friends joined our church family as we stood in dismay watching this great sadness unfold.

An immediate outpouring of love and support came from the community that Sunday morning.

Worship service was held under the trees as the building still smoldered, yet healing began. We continued to heal together and our faith remained strong as we gathered in numerous locations on our way back home.

We learned more and more that church is not a building, it is the gathered people of God worshipping and following him and loving one another.

We spent over five years of prayer, many months of planning, designing and rebuilding our new facility, followed by delays from the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the Lord was with us through it all.

It was with great joy and that we gave thanks to the Lord and dedicated our new building to him on December 4, 2022.

Many times in our lives, we experience pain, hurt, and anguish. It can feel like a fire has caused things in our lives to come crumbling down around us.

Jesus is our hope. He can heal our brokenness, he can restore us, and he can rebuild the broken pieces of our lives into something truly beautiful--something that reflects his beauty and his glory--a life lived with and for Jesus, according to the purpose for which we were made.

If you've never trusted in Jesus before, or if you'd like to know him better, we would love for you to join us. You can contact our pastor at (843) 658-3699, pastor@rcpchurch.org, or join us on a Sunday morning!
